The Pulitzer Hotel

Old Master, New World

With a history that dates back four centuries, and a colourful cast of previous inhabitants (Golden Age merchants, a musician, an art dealer and a book collector, to name a few), the Pulitzer Hotel is one of the city’s most treasured architectural and cultural icons.

Approaching this ambitious project, our team worked closely with the Pulitzer Hotel in-house designers to produce pieces for all bedrooms, and some suites and public areas, which combine its unique heritage with contemporary Dutch design.  The initial design phase alone took over one year to complete, before main run production commenced.

There are four themed suites (the Book Collector's, Art Collector's, Antique Collector's and Music Collector’s) - a nod to past residents – but each of the 225 bedrooms also has its own special touch.  In addition to unique headboards that take on the distinct shape of the rooflines in Amsterdam, our craftsmen also hand-produced exquisite, custom-designed art deco trolleys to house modern mini-bars.
